In their defense, EMI, and many other companies and independent sources are saying that, Apple and British Apple did not come to legal agreements, until around 2003, and are still working out technicalities.

Paul McCartney Dissapointed With EMI
In a recent interview, McCartney, former beatle is accusing EMI, and blaming them for the fact that many of the great songs of the beatles are not on iTunes. He is saying that since EMI has the rights, and can handle all of the bands songs, they are simply not promoting them on the world's largest music distributor, iTunes. Personally, I think that this is outrageous and simply crazy, to blame that EMI is "being selfish" their music.

The Beatles Lives On
Here is a great article that I found about The Beatles' influence on music.
I think that this is also my favorite music band because it didn't need new revolutionary things to create great music, they were simple but great. For example, if you see Ringo Starr's drumset when he was with the beatles, it is not very big or expensive, but he still is one of the greatest drummers of all time.

Y Not
On January 12, 2010 Ringo Starr released his fifteenth studio album as a solo artist! This new CD includes 10 songs and features great artists such as Paul McCartney (former Beatle), Van Dyke Parks and others. The solo of the album which was released on December 22, 2009 is Walk With You, featuring a duet of Starr and McCartney.

These are the 10 songs of the CD:

1. Fill In The Blanks
2. Peace Dream
3. The Other Side Of Liverpool
4. Walk With You
5. Time
6. Everyone Wins
7. Mystery of The Night
8. Can't Do It Wrong
9. Y Not
10. Who's Your Daddy
From the iTunes preview of the songs you can notice a very different style of songs, than what you would hear in Beatles songs nevertheless the songs are excellent and have strong messages. Even in Peace Dream where Starr mentions John Lennon.

Best Band In History?
The Beatles, the classic band which people of all ages love is considered to be the best band in the history of classical rock. Many music critics, students and simply fans have considered to be one of the top bands of history or even, THE best! Personally I consider that it is the best band and that is why EMI group and Apple Corporation have been releasing many new projects of the beatles, to increase the fan base of young people. Recently in the past years many new things have been released that allow young people who didn't know about the beatles before to start collecting their music. The first project I want to talk about is "Across The Universe", a remake of a musical that only has beatles songs, beside this, the movie also has a great story to go along with the songs. This movie was released in 2008 and includes actors such as, Evan Rachel Wood, Jim Sturgess, Dana Fuchs and many more. The other project EMI group released in 2009 is the 12 digitally remastered CD's which I talked about in one of my past blogs. The last project that Apple Corporation releases alongside EA Games, and what I consider to be the most succesful recent project is "The Beatles: Rockband", a interactive game which allows the player to play the songs of the beatles, it includes over 40 songs and it allows the player to play the drums, the guitar, the bass and even sing the lyrics to she songs. Beside this the game also shows the history of the beatles in a fun way.
These last projects are the source of the beatles legacy being passed down to the next generations of young people, so they can hear and collect the music of The Beatles for future years. Without these projects, younger people wouldn't have any of these great songs.

Digitally Remastered!
In September of 2009, EMI Records released the full set of the beatles' original studio albums, all digitally remastered. These 12 CD's include the original soundtrack of the CD, the original artwork and plus a set of pictures of the beatles! Personally I know that these CD's are great and they give the chance to have more beatles songs that are not so famous. I own one CD of this collection, Past Masters Vol.1 and Vol.2, this includes song very famous songs such as, She Loves You, I Want To Hold Your Hand, I Feel Fine, Lady Madonna, and Hey Jude. It also includes song that are not know by everyone such as, Slow Down, Sie Liebt Dich (german version of She Loves You), Long Tall Sally and many more.
This collection of CD's is truly remarkable and an important step in the history of the beatles, because of this many people will listen to the songs, and the beatles fans will have a chance to listen to even more songs that they didn't know about. The first Compact Disc of the beatles was released in 1987, and now nearly 20 years later these digitally remastered CD's come out in the market, for the young beatles fans to hear!

John, Ringo, Paul And George
In this post I will be writing about a little bit of each musician's history and life.
John Lennon, was born October 9, 1940 and unfortunately died December 8, 1980. At the age of fourty John Lennon was shot four times on the back, dying before arriving at the hospital. john was a musician/writer from liverpool he was also a peace activist, this is reflected in his songs such as his solo, "Imagine". His music and his words still inspire people from all over the world despite the fact he was murdered over 20 years ago.
Ringo Starr, Ringo Starkey Jr. was born July 7, 1940 and still lives today with a succesful solo career. He is known for being the drummer of The Beatles and one of the best drumers of all time. Ringo is also a singer and songwriter although he does not sing in many of the band's songs. "Before Ringo, drum stars were measured by their soloing ability and virtuosity. Ringo's popularity brought forth a new paradigm in how the public saw drummers. We started to see the drummer as an equal participant in the compositional aspect. One of Ringo's great qualities was that he composed unique, stylistic drum parts for The Beatles songs. His parts are so signature to the songs that you can listen to a Ringo drum part without the rest of the music and still identify the song." Steve Smith.
Paul McCartney, was born June 18, 1942 and still lives today with a succesful solo career, he was a songwriter, musician and peaceactivist like John Lennon. Paul played the guitar and sang/wrote most of The Beatles songs. When the band split-up he joined the band "Wings" with his wife, Linda Eastman. He is famous for many things, including being the singer for the beatles.
George Harrison, was born February 25, 1943 and died November 29, 2001. He was a song-writer, musician and singer for The Beatles. He played the lead guitar adn sang the chorus and wrote many of the songs, including "Here Comes The Sun". He is famous for playing with The Beatles and being part of the historical band and legacy, The Beatles. George Harrison died of the treatments of the throat cancer he developed because of his smoking in the early '60's.

Top 10 Beatles Songs!
In this post I will be talking about my personal opinion, towards the 10 best songs this band got to create in the years they where together.

1. Come Together- This is definetly one of the best songs, The Beatles composed in their time together, and although this song is a little strange and not many people understand the lyrics, it is an excellent song that will live to see many years.
2. Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds- This song is a bit controversial, but the lyrics to the song and the music join perfectly to create a great song.
3. Hey Jude- This song is very different to the past songs I mentioned, but despite the unlikely style of song for The Beatles, this song has kind of a slow tone, making it even a greater song.
4. Here Comes The Sun- Here Comes The Sun is a song that brings joy to people, with the happy tone you can sense from the music and the lyrics.
5. Something- Most of the songs composed by the beatles are love songs, with this song we can see how their music can inspire many people.
6. Twist And Shout- This is one of the few songs of The Beatles that doen;t have great lyrics, but with the great music great lyrics are not needed.
7. Love Me D0- "Love, love me do, you know I love you, I'll always be true, so please love me do." Like always, the lyrics are a bit strange, however this song is excellent.
8. Let It Be- In my personal opinion this song is what it is, because of the lyrics, these lyrics are the best The Beatles ever composed.
9. Yesterday- This concept of this song is much like Let It Be, the lyrics of this song are what make it a great song.
10. All My Loving- This song is the "worst of the best" however, this is still one of my favorite Beatles song, it combines music and lyrics perfectly!
These are the "Top 10" in my personal opinion, however other people could argue with me and say differently. These are not the only great songs of this classic band, The Bealtles has much more excellent songs such as, All You Need Is Love, Strawberry Fields Forever, Lady Madonna and many more.
